This 2024 research was commissioned by FBU to identify if sexual harassment in a FBU context was an issue to be addressed.  The findings suggest that 30% of women who completed the survey reported having experienced sexual harassmen in an FBU context

There is similar research that looked at women’s sexual harassment at work in the Fire Service in 1965 ‘Who Rings the Bell‘ indicated that in excess of 60% of women experienced sexual harassment.  The research was repeated in 1975 ‘One Decade On‘ and the numbers experiencing sexual harassment was in excess of 50%.
