This is a totally non-commercial exercise.
Sarah and Dave are offering a free conversation with any Police or Fire Service wishing to improve their understanding of their workplace culture.
Our thoughts are guided by our two Phd’s (below) and the research and consultancy that we have done We are particularly concerned that as FRS struggle to stop harassment and bullying that they are lagely unaware of the informal (masculine) culture. In outcome this leaves a serious gap in understanding negative cultural factors when trying to stop harassment and bullying.

Both our PhD’s point to a culture, which is both positive and negative: a powerful influence that operates to organise ‘how things are done around here‘. This is good for passing down hands on skills, but can be negative if some of the skills handed down support patriachal agendas.
